"I am the Lord, and there is no other."

I have been struggling lately with a situation in our family and questioning the Lord about it. I read this last night and it really convicted me. God is in control–not me. His ways are not my ways! He wants the best for me. I just need to trust and obey.

I am the Lord, and there is not other; Besides Me there is no God. I will gird you, though you have not known Me; that men may know from the rising to the setting of the sun that there is no one besides Me. I am the L ord, there is no other, the One forming light and creating darkness, causing well-being and creating calamity; I am the Lord who does all these.

Woe to the one who quarrels with his Maker–an earthenware vessel among the vessels of earth! Will the clay say to the potter, ‘What are you doing?’ Or the thing you are making say, ‘He has no hands?’ Woe to him who says to a father, ‘What are you begetting?’ or to a woman, “To what are you giving birth?’
~Isaiah 45: 5-7; 9-10

And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God to those who are called according to His purpose. For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified, and these whom He justified, He also glorified.

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delievered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?
~Romans 8:28-31
