A Taste of Autumn

It doesn’t look like the picture on the right at this moment but I noticed tonight when I was out that there was a little (tiny) nip of autumn in the air. It’s been a lot less humid lately and the temps at night are starting to dip into the 60’s. Everything is still green and the daytime temps are in the 80’s and sometimes 90’s but it won’t be long before cooler days are here.

I’m looking forward to the cooler weather and the beautiful colors on the trees. Fall is my favorite season. There are lots of reasons why but here are a few that come to mind:
~soups and stews
~sweaters
~fall colors in the Blue Ridge Mts.
~pumpkin picking
~marshmallow roasting (hot dogs, too)
~Thanksgiving
~our church’s annual missions conference
~raking leaves and making big piles
~being able to sit outside on the swing w/o it being hot and humid!!
