My Ambition

Yesterday’s Bible reading included Psalm 19 and the verse highlighted for memorization was 14:

May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to You, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.

Oh, that this would be my prayer each day. And not just my prayer but how I actually lived! I want to grow in grace each day and become more and more like His Son! I long to please Him in everythng I do and say. I want to give Him glory in everything–because He is my everything!!!

Therefore also we have as our ambition, whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to Him. (2 Corinthians 5:9)

Have you made it your ambition (a strong desire to succeed or achieve something; the thing so desired) to please the Lord today? Have you asked Him to make the words of your mouth and meditation of your heart pleasing to Him? There’s no better ambition to have than that.

What say you?
