Jesus is the Only Way

While attending King’s Fest, I saw this tag on the girl sitting in front of me. I took a picture of it because I had never seen anything like this. It turns out to be a scapular. I was really sad when I read the words on it. I wondered if this girl really thought she wouldn’t see eternal fire if she was wearing this scapular when she died? There is only one way to be saved from eternal fire:

Some people think it doesn’t matter what you believe as long as you’re sincere. But without a valid object your faith is useless.
If you take poison–thinking it’s medicine–all the faith in the world won’t restore your life. Similarly, if Jesus is the only source of salvation, and you’re trusting in anyone or anything else for your salvation, your faith is useless.
Many people assume there are many paths to God and that each religion represents an aspect of truth. But Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me” (John 14:6). He didn’t claim to be one of many equally legitimate paths to God, or the way to God for His day only. He claimed to be the only way to God–then and forever.
Please see the complete tract here at Grace to You to learn more about the true way of salvation.
I pray that this girl will come to know that wearing something or doing something is not going to save her, only trust in Christ alone will save her.

  1. I am a faithful listener to Way of the Master Radio. When Todd goes to Christian college campuses or to Christian concerts (like the one you attended) to interview people, it is SHOCKING to me how many have no clue what the gospel really is. So many think they are saved and are not. They think being born to a Christian family makes them a Christian, or being baptized makes them a Christian or being a good person makes them a Christian. I am talking all types of denominations here. We must be bold…Souls are perishing and we have the words of LIFE!
