The Simple Woman’s Daybook

For Tuesday, March 16, 2010

Outside my window…a partly cloudy day with bits of blue sky peeking through

I am thankful…for a church that stays true to God’s Word

From the learning rooms…I’m learning some new embroidery stitches for my next project

From the kitchen…need to bake some more goodies for the family

I am pondering…this quote by Arturo Azurdia: “Had the Son of God been forced into this world — driven to His death on the cross — our amazement at His love would not have been nearly as grand. But when we become acquainted with His willingness, that He voluntarily surrendered Himself as a substitutionary sacrifice, we are overwhelmed: amazed at the intensity and infinite capacity of such love.”

I am creating…the thread arrived for my bib so I’m finishing that. Finally!!

I am reading…still working through “A Praying Life”. I finished “The Last Jihad”. Recommended if you like political thrillers.

I am hoping…that each day becomes warmer and warmer. It is a wonderful reminder of the Resurrection to see all the trees and flowers coming back to life.

I am hearing…finches at my feeders. I love the little “peeps” they make!

One of my favorite things…my quiet time with the Lord

Around the house…almost all my weekly chores are done. I dedicated yesterday to cleaning and laundry. I was tired after dinner but the house looks great!

A few plans for the rest of the week: errands this afternoon, spending time with a friend on Thursday, Fellowship Group on Saturday

Here is a picture I am sharing… sun streaming through the dining room window
