The Simple Woman’s Daybook

For July 20, 2010

Outside my window…another hot and sunny day; the heat index is supposed to be 110 by this afternoon. One bright spot is that we have had some awesome cloud formations. I’ve enjoyed them while watering my plants….everyday!

I am thankful…for the few rain showers that we have received lately.

From the learning rooms…all the books I’ve ordered are in and now it’s time to start working on lesson plans.

From the kitchen…anything cool! Salad, sandwiches, etc. I don’t want to heat up the kitchen too much.

I am creating…not so much creating but I have been organizing.

I am reading…still working through “A Praying Life” I’ve also been finding some free books on Kindle.

I am hoping…that this heat wave will break soon. It isn’t as bad as it could be because our humidity is low but we could really use some soaking rain.

I am hearing…the dogs whining to go out. Be right back!

One of my favorite things…sitting in my recliner, reading or watching TV, with Dasher snuggled up by me.

Around the house…I am in the process of selling off a lot of my homeschool library. We want to (some day) change the school room into a family room but with all the bookcases we can’t do that right now. If you would like to see what I have for sale, you can find my listings here. I will be adding books for the next few weeks.

A few plans for the rest of the week: I’m having lunch with some friends tomorrow and going to a play on Saturday night but other than that I’m home. There is always things here to keep me busy!
