A Simple Woman’s Daybook

For Tuesday, August 3, 2010
Outside my window…a very nice day; blue sky, puffy white clouds, low 90’s
I am thankful…for God’s grace to me; I’m thankful He loved me while I was rebellious to Him.
From the learning rooms…not much going on these days but that will change in a few weeks. Julianne is still working on Spanish, history and algebra.
From the kitchen…anything cool! Salad, sandwiches, etc. I don’t want to heat up the kitchen too much. (I posted this last time but it’s still the same.)
I am creating…a peaceful home that is a haven from the hustle and bustle of the world.
I am reading…on my Kindle: Persuasion. This is my favorite Jane Austen book.
Scripture for the week: Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. (1 Thess. 5:18)
I am hearing…the dryer on a last load of towels!
Noticing that…some trees are already dropping leaves, the dogwood has developed berries, and it gets dark around 8:45 now…..summer is on its way to winding down.
Around the house…not much going on the inside; outside I’m just trying to keep everything watered as best I can. We had rain the other day but we really need a few good days with gentle showers all day long!
A few plans for the rest of the week: lunch with a friend tomorrow, Deacon’s meeting on Thursday night, clean the church on Saturday and a surprise party for someone, and VBS starts Sunday night!
Here is a picture I’m sharing of Julianne and a friend being goofy!!
